Medicare Part D is optional prescription drug coverage offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. It helps cover the cost of prescription drugs and can be added to Original Medicare or some Medicare Cost Plans.

💰 Cost Overview
Premiums vary by plan. The 2026 maximum out-of-pocket cap is $2,000 for covered drugs. If you don't enroll when first eligible, you may pay a late enrollment penalty.
